Hot flushes are one of the most common symptoms of the menopause. We experience a rise in temperature, sensation of heat and sometimes intense sweating and cooling down. They generally only last 3-5 minutes but that’s long enough! Night sweats are particularly unpleasant waking you up drenched in sweat and leave you feeling exhausted due to the lack of sleep.

Look up towards your eyebrows whilst taking a long deep breath and saying to yourself I’m calm and relaxed. Take another long deep breath and saying to yourself I’m calm and relaxed. Take another long deep breath and saying to yourself I’m calm and relaxed.
Now allow your eyes to close and relax.
Imagine putting a sharp lemon ice lolly in your mouth and feel the coldness and sharpness on your tongue making your mouth water and feel a little tingle from the coldness. Feel that enjoyable coldness breath and relax.
Now imagine looking down and see that you are standing in the cold sea, its blue but chilly, feel the ripple of the chilly water against your feet and your calves. Feel your feet growing so cold that they feel a little numb. Enjoy this pleasant cold feeling and imagine it moving all the way up through your body. Feel the breeze blowing and cooling you even more. You can feel the coolness all over your body, feel your body and enjoy the coolness.
Practice this often and you with feel the cooling physical effect more quickly and you will be able to use it wherever you are.
