Personal information and how it’s used

When you join the on-line members programme, we may request the following personal information: first name, surname, email address, start weight, current weight and some personal preferences and health information. This information, and any personal information received thereafter, is used for the purpose of verifying membership and to personalise your experience within the members’ area and your success. Slim for Good Online membership fees and offers

Membership of the 14 day ‘Beat Sugar/Alcohol’ Cravings Programme is priced at £19.00 (excluding any discounts). Membership of the Slim for Good online membership site is priced at £15 per month (excluding any discount). The website will display any current offers.

In respect of the Online Membership site, every month your PayPal account will automatically be charged at the monthly rate applicable at that time until you cancel.

Your right to cancel your online membership

When you join the Slim for Good Online membership (excluding the 14 day programme) you have a short ‘cooling off period’ where you can cancel your membership and receive a refund. The opportunity to cancel finishes 14 days after your order.

Re-subscriptions and cancellation

Once you have become a member of the Slim for Good Online (excluding the 14 day programme) you can cancel your monthly re-subscriptions at any time by giving us 1 weeks’ notice. Until we receive this notice we will continue to deduct your subscription from your debit or credit card each month.

If you want to cancel your membership, log into your account and click on the My Account link on the menu, select the *Orders* tab and cancel the relevant order. Alternatively, let us know by email or the contact form stating your full name, registered email address and membership number.

If you don’t receive a response within 7 days,  check your membership status on the My Account page or please contact us again.

Ordering agreement

By placing an order with Slim for Good, you are confirming that all services/goods ordered by you are for your own private and domestic use only.

We reserve the right to refuse orders if we suspect an order is not for personal use or if we suspect you are in any way involved in fraudulent or illegal activity on the website, including, but not limited to, the use of stolen credit cards.

Processing of orders

PayPal will be debited on the day of ordering. Every purchase you make shall be performed in the United Kingdom and UK law governs every aspect of contractual agreement concerning purchases made from Slim for Good Online.

We will confirm that your order has been received and is being processed by a confirmation email to your given email address. Please check that the details on the email are correct as soon as possible and print a copy as confirmation of your order.

Please ensure that all details you provide to Slim for Good Online for the purpose of ordering or purchasing goods or services are correct, that the PayPal account or credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods or services ordered.

If there are any changes to the details supplied at the time of order it is your responsibility to inform the Slim for Good as soon as possible.

If you exercise your Right to Cancel, all information/downloads supplied to you must be deleted.

Medical policy

Slim for Good On-line and all associated services are not intended as a substitute for any advice or treatment prescribed by a doctor.

It is the responsibility of each member to ensure that there are no medical reasons why they should not embark upon a slimming campaign. If in any doubt at all, members should check with their doctor.

Slim for Good Online’s medical policy is:

Slim for Good Online is not available to members under the age of 18. The advice given in the public area is not intended for use by those under 18.

Anyone who has any medical problems, is taking any medication, is pregnant or breast-feeding must disclose this information during registration.

Members with diabetes or coeliac disease will be able to benefit fully from Slim for Good Online and should always incorporate the advice given by their care team or GP.

Because our members’ health is of primary import, we’re unable to offer membership to the following groups:

  • People with eating disorders
    • If you have or if you are concerned that you may have an eating disorder it is important to consult your doctor for advice.
  • People with cancer, liver or kidney disease
    • There is always a risk that any weight changes you experience could be due to your illness rather than dietary adjustments and we would be concerned about supporting you properly and fully in your weight loss campaign. If you are looking to lose weight during your illness or treatment, we would encourage you to discuss your weight concerns with your doctor or specialist.
  • Mums to be
    • Members who become pregnant after joining Slim for Good Online may continue to enjoy the members’ area of the website, however access to the weight support service will be limited.
    • Membership is offered to breastfeeding mothers a minimum of 6 weeks after the birth of their baby.

Medical Conditions

If you have a medical condition which may be adversely affected by exercise you should consult your doctor before following any exercise information given. It is required that each member takes personal responsibility for themselves when doing any exercise which has been advised by Slim for Good. If at any time while exercising a member feels any ill effects then they must stop doing the exercise and it is advisable that they check this out with their doctor.

We always recommend members follow the medical and any dietary advice they have been given by their doctor or other health professional.
